Handmade Monday: Crocheted Shawl

I hope everyone had a wonderful beginning of the New Year.

The weather outside here is quite cold and gloomy. On the rainy evenings like tonight, my snuggle shawl is so handy. My mom crocheted it for me a few years ago. It’s very comfy and warm. And I think it’s very pretty too.

Have a splendid year 2011!

Olga,
I love your shawl! My Grandmother had one made for me when I was young and it has since disappeared but, I love pieces like this. They are so charming and stylish. Just beautiful! I did not know you had a Handmade Monday! To let you in on a little secret, I am soon opening an Etsy shop of my handmade items and I will be joining you every Monday. I will write this down now!
Happy New Year Olga!

Beautiful and not only warms your body but warms your heart knowing it was lovingly made by your mom!

Dearest Olga,

That is many hours of labor of love! You're lucky to have such a Mom and she was smart to also pass it on to you as you are likewise talented with your hands!!!
Enjoy whatever you're up to and stay well.

Very nice! Your mom did a great job. Think I must get my crochet hooks out again....my daughter is asking for an afghan! Your shawl pattern would make a nice light afghan...have your mom share her pattern?

Hi Olga,
Your shawl is beautiful, so nice to be wrapped in warmth and your mothers love:-) I have a very tattered quilt my grandmother made, now I only use it when I am sick, it's very comforting:-)
Stay cozy:-)
