Dear ladies,
Finally, I can present you my crochet tablecloth! As some of you know, I started crocheting it last summer. Along the way, I was posting updates on my work. There were times when I was about to give up, but so many of you encouraged me to continue. A heartfelt thank you to all of you!

As this was the first tablecloth I crocheted, I made several mistakes. The biggest one is that I didn’t take into account how much the tablecloth will stretch after I starch it. Notice how the row of “pineapples” begins below the edge of the table. It would’ve looked so much better if it began exactly at the edge. Also, the “pineapples” in the second row were supposed to be finished separately creating a scalloped edge, but I was thinking about adding a third row of “pineapples”, then I changed my mind and didn’t feel like redoing it.
Anyway, the tablecloth is not perfect, but I am so glad it’s finally finished.

It is absolutely beautiful! I love it just the way it is. I like how the design begins a little further down and love how it drapes to the ground...so pretty!!!
Holy cow! So fabulous! This is just a modern miracle. I don't doubt at all that you wanted to give up. What a lot of work that you should be so proud of. So so pretty, Olga!
It is a very beautiful tablecloth, stretched or not. I love the pattern, and it looks perfect! You did a great job, good for you not to give up.
Hi Olga,

It * Is * Beautiful! You did a fantastic job!
It is lovely and you should be very proud of yourself! Lots of work in this one but well worth it, flaws and all. Gorgeous!
Dearest Olga,
Wow, with the green under-cloth this crocheted tablecloth looks so regal! You did a great job, considering it was your very first one.
Yes, sizing with crochet patterns is always tricky. As a rule of thumb I always use my favorite DMC thread and metal crochet hooks. If one crochets loosely, than a thinner hook is advised; if crocheting tight, you solve that with a thicker hook. But only after lots of experience you will be able to know for sure.
With a different diameter table your pineapple crochet work looks different once again!
Lots of love and admiration,
Mariette
Olga, for a first time tablecloth you did a lovely job. What an accomplishment and a nice length too.

Congratulations on finishing this tablecloth Olga. It's really a work of art! I was given one very similar. My husband's grandmother made it and I've used it on a series of grand occasions. We had it on our wedding cake table. It's really lovely but I know you'll be happy to move onto a new project!
Dear Olga,

If you have no one to WILL it to, let me know and I will send you my address! LOL!
