Last year, a single grape hyacinth volunteered in my yard. I think it sneaked in under the fence from the neighbors. I carefully replanted it, and this year I have a planter full of these lovely blue flowers!
It seems that this plant is very undemanding. It spread quickly and didn’t require any special care at all. Since I don’t have much time for gardening now anyway, such low-maintenance flowers are always welcome in my garden.

Good photography of one of my favourite spring flowers. When they go to seed, I like to shake the seed heads around to encourage a faster naturalization of them.

Well it will be a while before my hyacinths peek out from under..we might have an early spring as so far we are not having a normal winter. I think the hyacinths are such a sweet little flower. I have a special liking for the tiniest flowers...nice photo shot. Enjoy your flowers..
Lovely grape hyacinths Olga! I have them too,though before the flower heads come through its easy to mistake the plants for grass of the wild kind!My snowdrops are whats giving me the greatest pleasure now in the garden!

ooooh, these are so lovely! I am partial to 'old fashioned' flowers and those that are purple, blue or pink~ Because we live in an area with high annual winds it is difficult to get plants to grown longterm...would love to have these in the yard!
