This picture is from my last year’s post Ukraine Independence Day Celebration. I used blue and yellow flowers for my napkin rings. The other day, someone e-mailed me telling me that she liked my table setting and would like to know the name of the blue flower.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t help her as I don’t know the name myself. I remember that the flower came from a garden bunch that I bought at a grocery store.
Could any gardeners or botanists give me a hand here? Does anyone know what this flower is called?
Thank you!

Hi Olga, this looks like a Delphinium. So delicate but bold beautiful blue color. One of my favorites, wonderful in a mixed wildflower bouquet of daisies, etc! Warm Hugs,
Oh, I wanted to invite you to my Love Story Linky Party going on this week. Would love to have you share. Warm Hugs,
I don't know, but it is very pretty!
I DON'T KNOW, BUT IT IS VERY PRETTY INDEED, HOPE ALL IS WELL..
Hi Olga
With the spur on the back, it makes me think the flower is a columbine, also known as granny's bonnets.

I too thought it was columbine but the little face doesn't look like columbine. I am now leaning toward a delphinium.
Hugs, Ginger
Oh Olga, I lost your post and had to find you again..What a lovely picture..yes, it is a delphinium and I love mine..I can't wait for spring..Hope you have a wonderful Valentines's Day..
I am not sure what the flower is but, it sure is lovely! Happy Valentine's Day Olga!
Delphinium 'Bellamosum' This is, according to me the beautiful name for an even more beautiful flower.
Love the Blue!
Hi, from Colorado. Thanks for visiting me and becoming a follower. I'm sure that blue flower is a delphinium. I have some in my garden that come up in different places each year. Mine came from our High School green house where the students start the seeds and have a sale every May. I'm ready to start planning for spring, but we might get snow tomorrow.♥♫
