Some of you might be wondering how I am doing selling my crocheted items. Not so bad!
My Etsy shop is quite small because I don’t have much time for crocheting, especially now in spring. But I did sell a few items, and I slowly continue to make new ones.
It’s quite exciting to have my own little shop. It doesn’t bring any profit, but it does bring lots of fun!
I am trying to expand it beyond finished crochet products. Right now I’m adding some vintage pattern pamphlets and books. And I am learning how to write crochet patterns in English, so I can sell my own patterns as well.
The biggest hit of all of my crochet items was this baby blanket. My mom came up with the pattern and crocheted the first one. Then she taught me to make it. I gave a few of these blankets away at baby showers, where everyone “Ohhed” and “Wowed”! And I also sold one at my community. I think in addition to Etsy, where competition is just too great, I need to seek more customers in my own community.

In short, I didn’t make any money, but I still enjoy my “crocheting business”.
By the way, my doily postings on Etsy will expire soon, and I won’t re-post them. So they all are on sale now!

I love that sweet blanky in that cream color. Don't you think it shows the pattern better? Maybe it's my imagination. Anyway it's beautiful. And I'm so glad you are enjoying crochet. You're so talented.
Hi Olga,
I am glad you are enjoying your new shop, you do such beautiful work, I think you will build up alot of repeat customers. You are so clever at being able to creat your own patterns!

I don't make a profit either. It is fun, but I might not relist items after this, as we will be busy soon too. Your items are absolutely gorgeous and I hope you have much success with your sale!

I admire anyone that can create such lovely pieces like that. I don't crochet, but have known people who did and they always say how much it relaxes them. You have some very pretty things in your shop!
Muchas Gracias!!! Olga gracias por tu lindo mensaje ♥ mis cariños para ti Sandra.
Your blanket is gorgeous! What a pretty color and pattern. I always wrapped my babies in a soft blanket like this.

I hope that you had a wonderful Mother's Day Olga! your crocheted baby blanket is so beautiful. I'm sure you enjoyed setting up your Etsy shop. When I was your age, my friends and I would create things to sell in craft fairs. Sometimes we ended up trading things with each other and sometimes the things that didn't sell were used as Christmas or birthday gifts. It was fun to be creative and good to keep busy while the children slept. Good luck with future projects!
There's money in crochet business.
