About a month and a half ago I posted a picture of my blackberry bush blooming. And now all the flowers turned into berries.
There are quite many of them. Every morning my three-year-old helps me pick them. And my one-year-old occasionally helps too – he picks a berry and quickly stuffs it in his mouth!

A few days ago I made blackberry turnovers using the recipe from Martha Stewart’s website. They were so good that I didn’t even have a chance to take a picture.
Now I’m searching for more interesting blackberry recipes to try.

I'm linking to Tuesday Garden Party at An Oregon Cottage.
P.S. My solar flutterbys giveaway will be closed in six days, so hurry up to enter if you haven’t done so.

Hi Olga,
Yummy!! I am jealous, you are so far ahead of us!! Have a fresh berry for me :-) I love you get the boys involved, and share your love of gardening and good food with them!
Hugs,

I love blackberries--glad you are enjoying them now with your family! I have lots of green blackberries now, so soon I will be joining you in eating and cooking with them.
YUM! Blackberries are my favorite. We have a little bush growing, with a couple little flowers on it. I am very hopeful that we'll have berries!
Oh, yummy! I have a raspberry plant in a pot that we've finally got berries on for the first year. I'm pretty excited about it. Nothin' quite like eating fresh picked berries.
The blackberries look luscious Olga. I buy them often from the market but I'll bet they're not as tasty as yours.

Dearest Olga,
What a luscious blackberries your harvested. Great that your boys do love to eat them. As for me, before I was Diabetes type 2, I loved vanilla ice cream with blackberries as that is such a perfect taste.
Love to you,
Mariette
Your blackberries look absolutely wonderful. Thanks for stopping over at my blog, too.
I love, love, love black berries! Your bushes are wonderful! I've fond memories of picking buckets full when we were little at my grandma's. Great memories. :)
The berries look perfect! I've been buying blackberries for the last 2 weeks-I guess I should plant a bush in my garden. It would be wonderful to pick them fresh in the morning for breakfast!

You are so lucky to have fresh blackberries in your yard and also to have two little sons to enjoy helping you pick them.
Beautiful bowl of blueberries! Not a big grower here. I'm sure your tots adore them!
So glad I found your blog! We are in a little apartment at the moment with nowhere to even think about growing things- even the indoor plants we have are having trouble getting enough sunlight. Hoping for blackberry plants someday! Thanks for sharing yours!
