Last Sunday, I had a chance to go thrifting. When I saw two rolls of aida fabric and blank thank you cards at a Goodwill store, I got an idea for cute Christmas cards. I am going to cross-stitch white or pale blue snowflakes on dark blue or purple aida fabric. Then I will glue the designs to those blank cards and voila!
The two rolls of aida fabric and a box of fifty cards with envelopes were less than three dollars.
I also bought several books. One of them was this beautiful book with lots of cross-stitching designs. It was only two dollars and forty-nine cents.
Another great book that I bought was Tennyson’s Poems. When I opened it and saw the year it was published, I was astonished - 1870!

How awesome is finding a book that is before the turn of the last century?
Olga, that book is a find and could be quite valuable! I am looking forward to your cards. xo
The cards you're going to make sound lovely; I love snowflakes and have quite a collection of things for winter.
Good thrifting finds Olga.

Your Christmas cards will be keepsakes and treasured by those who receive tim. It's great fun to find other peoples treasures at such appealing prices. Have a gppd week olga!
What lovely finds Olga! I can't wait to see the snowflakes. It will be snowflake season before we know it. I have a book of Tennyson's poetry that I have had since my Dad bought a set of second hand books when I was just a child. Isn't thrift shopping too much fun?!
Dearest Olga,
You found quite some treasures!
Hugs to you,
Mariette
