Handmade Monday: Cross-Stitched Rose

cross stitch rose pattern

Today I want to show another little cross-stitched project that I have done lately. I cross-stitched this red rose to make a thank-you note card.

The pattern is quite simple. It only requires three shades of red (or it could be pink, yellow, or whatever color of roses you prefer) for the rose itself and three shades of green for the leaves.

The original pattern, which you can see here, is in pink, but I didn’t have any pink thread on hand, so I went with red. I think it turned out pretty good.

If you would like to share a post about a handmade item or DIY project, just link bellow.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

That's impressive that you did all that for a card to someone. Very pretty also.

It is beautiful. That is one card that should be framed later.

I don't cross-stitch as much as I used to. Crocheting seems to have taken over. And a bit of paper crafting over the past couple of days. The stitched card is lovely. And your pink doily is so pretty. Have a great week. Tammy

It looks great. I used to cross stitch too, but haven't had the time to sit down for that long in ages. You are lucky.

I am the grateful recipient of this lovely card! And I am glad you had no pink thread - I think the red is much more beautiful! Thank you very much, Olga!

Hi Olya....That is such a pretty card. I copied the pattern and will use it also for a card. I'm sure the recipient of the card will be happy. I'm working on a rushnyk for a Easter Basket but I doubt I'll be finished the cross stitch for this year.

Beautiful! I used to cross stitch but gave up because it was time consuming. What a special card to give someone!

A motivating discussion is definitely worth comment.
I think that you should publish more on this subject matter,
it may not be a taboo subject but generally people do not talk
about such subjects. To the next! Cheers!!
