Baby's Breath

I found out that growing flowers from seeds is not an easy task. Some of the seedlings never showed up, others died in the Californian heat, yet others were attacked by slugs and snails.

My baby’s breath seedlings, however, survived all these hardships. And now a beautiful white cloud cheers up my garden.

I am going to dry some of the flowers, so I can enjoy them in fall and winter as well. I also hope to collect some seeds for the next year.

Dearest Olga,

Well, that was meant to grow in your garden in honor of your new baby! They look lovely and you did FAR better than we ever managed. We bought plants, not once but several times and finally gave up. I always love to fill up a bouquet of roses with baby's breath.
Enjoy them and hope you get lucky with some seeds for next year.

Lots of love,

Mariette

Hi Olga
It's gratifying when seeds take and become beautiful flowers in our gardens. The babys breath is a very pretty delicate looking flower.

This is one of my favorites, but I've never seen it growing anywhere! The seeds must be tiny! So beautiful!

You're right seeds can be difficult to grow. I've never had any luck with them. The baby's breath is so beautiful! Lovely photos.

Baby's breath is such a lovely filler for arrangements and in the garden. Is this a perennial baby's breath or annual?

Please join me for a visit in my garden at The Gardening Life.

I love Baby's breath! I once planted it and status in the alley bed behind the fence...what a pretty display it made! until...someone dug them both up and stole them! hahaha
so..thanks for linking in this week. it is nice to finally get around to say hi and thanks to all the gardeners who patiently grow their flowers and who flaunt with me each week!
