A couple days ago, my husband went to Lowe’s to pick up some tools and I went with him. While he was looking for his stuff, I roamed the garden center. I didn’t plan to buy anything, only wanted to look at some flowers.
Then I saw these dark purple pansies for only eighty-eight cents a six-pack. Of course, I couldn’t resist making myself a little present.

For a few days, they were just sitting on my bay window as it was raining cats and dogs. But when it finally cleared up a bit, I replanted them and displayed them on my tricycle planter stand in the front yard.
This is my first flower planter this year. I hope the pansies will like their new location and flourish soon.

My all-time favourite - a pot of pansies. We don't find pansies here in the tropics. Love your tricycle. Mine is beginning to rust in places.

Oh, how i love pansies - one of the first to bloom & give color throughout the summer & well into fall. The fact that it self seeds is even more exciting! Thanks so much for linking up to Cottage Flora Thursdays - please come back again this next Thursday! xoxo, Tracie
Who can resist pansies? I love pansies and have planted the deep purple ones in the past; they are so beautiful!! Mine came back for a few seasons! Enjoy..
Thank you for visiting my blog! I've just become your new follower and love your blog. Anything with flowers grabs my attention right away. Your 88-cents-pansies and visit to Lowe's sounds like me. Don't they have the best deals? I love browsing through their flowers and plants. On a different note, I'd love to have your simple salsa recipe. Last night my husband asked if I put more peppers in the salsa. LOL! I didn't. The longer the salsa sets, the hotter it gets! Have a wonderful day.
That's a lovely Pansy!
