I am back from my trip to Idaho. It was a tiresome but interesting journey. I got to see landscapes and lifestyles quite different from those in California.

One of the first things I did when I returned home was check my garden. It did fine while I was gone.
In addition to purple morning glories, pale pink ones now appeared. The pansies are still blooming. My arched trumpet vine is getting more and more blooms. And the pomegranate flowers are turning into fruits.

I will have to do a lot of watering this week as the forecast predicts a hot one.

Dearest Olga,
Wow, that was quite some driving you've done in a couple of days and that with baby and a toddler! Hope you will have a good rest after this hectic 4th of July.
Lots of love,
Mariette
Lovely blooms going on especially with being gone for a while.

Pomegranate blooms - that's something I've never seen before. Lucky you, getting the pretty flowers then the delicious fruit.

Hi Olga
I love the pink roses in your first photo. If I were to be gone for more than a day or so, I'd be panicking, worrying about my flowers so I'm happy to see your are fine.
