Cream-Colored Crocheted Doily

Recently I’ve seen many round lacy tablecloths, which look very beautiful for a little tea table, so I really wanted one too. I got this project in mind to crochet one. I found several interesting patterns. Then I thought it could be a good idea to start with something smaller. Making a tablecloth is a lot of work, and I was afraid I might get bored with it. So I decided to make a doily first.

It only took me three days to crochet it, and I just loved the process. Now I know for sure I won’t get bored making the tablecloth of my dreams. I still need to shop for threads though.

I present for your judgment my cream-colored round doily.

I’m joining Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday.

I love, love to crochet!! And your doily turned out beautifully. I used the pineapple stitch in a "Victorian" afghan for my master bedroom. Love the stitch.

My Show n Tell is 'showing off the flowers...". Do come by if you have time today, I'd love to have you visit with me.

Amazing and intricate work! I have several like this given to me by my husband's grandmother and they leave me in awe each time I think about how difficult they must be to make!

Hi Olga, pleased to meet you.
My mother loved a similar pattern she called 'pineapple'. You may even see part of one if you visit my show n tell #53 at Cindy's My Romantic Home.
One row at a time and I need to get back to work on a certain baby afghan. Time is moving on.

Thank you so much for sharing. I crochet daily, learned as a child and have rarely put my hook down. I too and working on a table cloth (been working on it for 3+ yrs.) and have many other projects as well. I finish most it just takes me awhile sometimes.
