Happy 4th of July!

I was not born in America, and I will never be a real American. But I was privileged to choose this country to be my home. Happy Birthday, America!

And Happy 4th of July to all of you, my dear blog world friends!

Thank you Olga! Welcome a million times over to the Land of the Brave. The closest I've been to your homeland is Albania. Have you seen the movie Everything is Illuminated? Done in the Ukraine,very funny and very touching. The lead singer of Gogol Bordello was chosen to star after they picked his band to do the music for the film. He's brilliant in it. Also with Elijah Wood most famous for Lord of the Rings. Anyway, if you haven't you should. Enjoy the holiday! Your blog buddy, Jacqueline

Dear Olga;
You are a real American! Maybe even more than I am, because having been born here I take the benefits of this country for granted most days. I forget what my ancestors endured to arrive on these shores. How many good people suffered to build this country!
Wonderful people like you are what this country is all about and I want to thank you for reminding me just how lucky I am to have spent my whole life with these blessings. You are a real American Olga!
Your friend

Where you are born does not matter when your heart is in America. A very beautiful pink rose. Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy 4th of July to you Olga! And Tina is right. You are a real American! We need more people like you who understand what a privilege it is to live in a land of freedom. Far too many of us take it for granted and fail to appreciate the blood, sweat, and tears that it took to get where we are. Thank you for reminding us all what a privilege it is to be in America! Glad to have you among us!

Happy Independence Day to you. Sometimes the people who choose to live in a country other than their motherland are more passionate about their adopted country. I think you mist be one of the United States very special citizens. You are a great ambassador of your chosen country Olga!
