Steel and Roses

A few days ago, I went to one of my favorite places in my town – the Rose Garden. Usually, I walk between the neat rows admiring and smelling the roses. But this time, I had a different scheme.

I walked on the perimeter of the garden exploring the roses that grow by the steel fence. Some of the sights were just stunning. There was something magical and dreamy about the steel and rose combination. The mightiness and coldness of the steel bars and the loveliness and fragility of the roses balanced each other so well.

I wonder how come the idea of exploring the steel fence never occurred to me before. It’s really worthwhile seeing.

This week, I'm joining Claudia at Dipity Road for Friday Finding Beauty.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hola Olga, I´m so happy to have found your wonderful blog and to enjoy your garden and home, as well as your knittings and cooking. You don´t seem like a beginner gardener, not at all, such a lovely garden you have!!!!

Next to a white picket fence, a wrought iron one is nice for showing off plants, especially roses.

Dearest Olga,

The wrought iron fence is such an Old World Charm with the Roses growing through them! Wonder why they always say: Steel Magnolias as it could be Steel Roses...

A different perspective is sometimes just the right thing to do. Your mosaics are very attractive and your writing is as always - wonderful.

Your mosaics are truly inspiring. You know I've been to our rose garden here so many times and I always neglect to seek out the ones adorning the fences and gates. You've inspired me to go back. thanks
