I am going to enjoy the tranquility of the house with a cup of tea and a book about her majesty Rose, which I checked out from the library a few days ago.

For my little tea setting, I am using the doily that I recently crocheted.

This is the only fine tea cup I have. Actually, I have eight of them; they come from the only fine china dining set I have.

It would be nice to have a little sweet treat with the tea. A few Raffaello coconut candies would be perfect.

A red rose from my garden to decorate my little tea setting. It is not as beautiful and perfect as the ones in the pictures in the book, but it is still lovely and smells wonderfully.

I guess I’d better put away the camera and enjoy my tea and the book before my toddler wakes up.
For the first time, I am joining Tea Time Tuesdays at Rose Chintz Cottage & Inspirations and at Lady Katherine Tea Parlor .

Also, if you like handmade stuff as much as I do, you might want to check my announcement about Handmade Monday here.

Hi Olga,
Thanks for stopping by and joining me for Tea Time. I have you all linked up. I envy you your time with your toddler; I miss those days!
That is a beautiful teacup and so is your rose! Your doily is lovely too. Something I never learned to do and always wanted to, was crochet! Thank you for sharing your lovely tea and I wish you a lovely day.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi Olga: Welcome to Tea Time Tuesday - tomorrow!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I think you would be able to find cups and saucers at yard sales, etc easily.
Love your first picture, Olga - great photography! The rose, the teacup and the doily are all pretty. And to think you made the doily yourself - I am impressed!

Hi Olga, what a perfectly beautiful setting for a cup of tea. Take a deep breath and enjoy. I'd say you deserve some quiet time between being a mom, which can be exhausting enough, gardening such beautiful flowers and crocheting too, where do you find the time---you are just too talented!
Your rose is perfect and I like very much your tea cup.
Love from Spain
I wanted to welcome you to the Tuesday tea parties. I'm sure you will love being a part of all the beautiful fun.
The doily is lovely. You did a wonderful job. I don't know how to crochet, so I am always impressed by those that do.
Your teacup is lovely, but it should be pretty easy to increase your collection. I have discovered that thrift stores and garage sales are great places to find gorgeous teacups...and they aren't expensive. You most likely won't have a matching set, but mixing and matching a wide variety of patterns can make a lovely tea table. That's what I do...I don't have a single matching teacup.
Have a blessed day...and enjoy that little boy. Take it from me, they grow up SO quickly. I didn't appreciate the days when my kids were really little, and now that they are 18 and 20, I would turn the clock back to those baby/toddler/preschool days in a heartbeat.
Blessings to you,
Patti (Fill My Cup with Beauty)

Hi, Olga... what a lovely tea setting!
I love your crocheted doily. My sister likes to crochet, also, and has made many lovely things. It perfectly compliments your pretty teacup and rose. Hope you enjoyed reading the lovely book!
Happy Tea Time Tuesday...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Hi Olga! Your quiet moment for tea looks so lovely. Your crochet doily is very pretty. What beautiful work!! Both of my grandmothers could crochet like you, but I am just learning. You are an inspiration to me and I am your newest follower!! Come visit me sometime. Maybe you can give me some crochet tips.
Love,

We all need our own space at times. You seemed to have found a very nice way to use yours. Always find time for yourself.

How pretty and cheery this is all together! Your rose is beautiful on your lacy doily--glad you can get a minute to yourself now and then. I NEVER did housework during naptime. I sat down to read! Best to you--Jacqueline
What a lovely to spend some quiet time. The chores can wait-look after you! Have a chocolate for me too.
Best wishes,
Natasha.

Your photo look wonderful. I love the doily you crocheted. I haven't crochet any in years. Loved, loved seeing your Tea Tea! Roses are simply perfect when they come from our own gardens!
Dearest Olga,
It is so refreshing to find another person from the old-world that knows how to crochet! Lovely doily you created yourself. Perfect for a tea-setting and your cups and rose and everything is lovely.
